Who can apply?

DJSCE students, alumni, and founder teams with a clear idea or an early-stage venture are welcome to apply.

Do we need a registered company?

No. You can apply while you are still developing your idea. The team can guide you on formal registration when it becomes relevant.

What happens after we apply?

The team will review your application and contact you to discuss your idea, your team, and the support you are looking for.

What support does the centre offer?

Support can include workspace, mentoring, founder community, and guidance on startup programmes and resources, based on your venture’s needs.

How do I register a startup in India?

Choose a suitable business structure, such as a Private Limited Company, LLP, or Partnership. Complete the applicable registration process and obtain PAN and other required registrations. Eligible businesses can separately apply for DPIIT Startup Recognition through the Startup India portal.

What is a Udyam Certificate?

Udyam Registration identifies an eligible business as a Micro, Small, or Medium Enterprise (MSME). It is free and online, and may help businesses access applicable MSME schemes and benefits.

What are the requirements for Udyam Registration?

Aadhaar and PAN are generally required, along with GSTIN where applicable. The business must meet the applicable MSME classification criteria. Apply only through the official portal: https://udyamregistration.gov.in/.

What is a CIN number?

A Corporate Identification Number (CIN) is a unique 21-character identifier assigned to a company registered in India. It is issued after successful incorporation and is used for official company identification.

What are the requirements to obtain a CIN?

You must incorporate a company through the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). Requirements generally include director details, Digital Signature Certificates, identity and address documents, registered office details, and incorporation forms. An LLP receives an LLPIN instead of a CIN.
